SisFOR is a Laboratory of Forest Survey and Geomatics, aimed at the development of applications of Forest Inventory by sampling design, field survey, Earth Observation (EO) by remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
geoLAB is the Laboratory of Forest Geomatics of the Department of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Forestry of the University of Florence. Founded in 2000, it deals with research, training and scientific advisory of all applications of Geographic Information Systems, spatial modeling, remote sensing and geomatics supporting forestry and environmental management and planning.
We are the leading Italian research organization dedicated to the agri-food supply chains. We operate as a legal entity under public law, and are supervised by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies (Mipaaft). Our scientific activity covers agricultural crops, livestock, fishery, forestry, agro-industry, food science – and socio-economics . We have full scientific, statutory, organizational, administrative and financial autonomy. CREA was established in 2015, from the merging of CRA (Council for Agricultural Research) and INEA (National Institute of Agricultural Economics), two country-wide institutions active since mid of last century”.
MOUNTFOR is an European Forest Institute (EFI) Project Centre on Mountain Forests hosted by FoxLab, the Research Unit of the Fondazione Edmund Mach located in San Michele all’Adige (Italy).
MOUNTFOR is built upon the expertise and structures of a core network of research institutes, associate members of EFI, cooperating in strict teamwork with Headquarters and Regional Offices of EFI, and leading research networking, knowledge sharing and advanced learning.
CNR ISAFOM
Studio e analisi dei processi fisici, chimici e biologici che determinano il funzionamento e la dinamica degli agro-ecosistemi negli ambienti a clima mediterraneo, per il miglioramento quali-quantitativo delle produzioni, per l’ottimizzazione dell’uso delle risorse naturali, e per la valorizzazione delle funzioni dei sistemi agricoli e forestali. Sviluppo e applicazione di metodi di ricerca e di innovazioni tecnologiche avanzate per il monitoraggio e la previsione degli impatti e delle risposte degli ecosistemi agrari e forestali alle pressioni antropiche e climatiche.
L’ISAFOM afferisce al Dipartimento di Scienze Bio-Agroalimentari del CNR ed ha una “massa critica” di 89 unità ripartito tra le sedi di Ercolano – NA (sede centrale), Catania, Rende (CS), e Perugia.
The Edmund Mach Foundation promotes and carries out research, scientific experiments, education and training activities as well as providing technical assistance and extensions services to companies. These activities are aimed at promoting cultural and socio-economic growth in the agricultural sector and at developing the forestry and agro-alimentary systems, with particular regard for the environment and the safeguard of the territory of the Trentino region. Since 2008 the Edmund Mach Foundation has continued to pursue the objectives and activities of the Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige, founded in 1874.
Il Centro di ricerca per le Aree Interne e gli Appennini (ArIA), inaugurato il (22 Aprile 2016 alla presenza del Presidente Sergio Mattarella) e con sede a Campobasso, mira allo sviluppo e alla conservazione delle Aree Interne con particolare riferimento ai paesaggi rurali e forestali ed alle problematiche territoriali, incluse quelle storiche, istituzionali, giuridico-economiche e di pianificazione territoriale, attraverso la messa a punto di modelli operativi integrati e finalizzati alle peculiarità dei contesti regionali italiani.
Il CURSA (Consorzio Universitario per la Ricerca Socioeconomica e per l’Ambiente) è un organismo di diritto pubblico riconosciuto dal MIUR – Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca. Nasce nel 2008 per iniziativa di tre università statali (Molise, Tuscia e Ferrara) con l’obiettivo di promuovere il raccordo fra ricerca teorica e applicazione pratica nei campi delle discipline sociali, economiche e della tutela dell’ambiente naturale.
The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research is concerned with the use, development and protection of natural and urban spaces. The focus of our research is on solving problems to do with the responsible use of landscapes and forests and a prudent approach to natural hazards, especially those common in mountainous countries.
In our tree-ring lab – the second largest worldwide, and the largest in Europe -, we apply and develop new methodologies in dendrochronology (i.e., tree-ring analysis) and wood anatomy.
L’Istituto superiore per la protezione e la ricerca ambientale (ISPRA) è ente pubblico di ricerca, dotato di personalità giuridica di diritto pubblico, autonomia tecnica, scientifica, organizzativa, finanziaria, gestionale, amministrativa, patrimoniale e contabile.
L’ISPRA è sottoposto alla vigilanza del Ministro dell’ambiente e della tutela del territorio e del mare. Il Ministro si avvale dell’Istituto nell’esercizio delle proprie attribuzioni, impartendo le direttive generali per il perseguimento dei compiti istituzionali.
Fermo restando lo svolgimento dei compiti, servizi e attività assegnati all’Istituto ai sensi della legislazione vigente, nell’ambito delle predette direttive sono altresì indicate le priorità relative agli ulteriori compiti, al fine del prioritario svolgimento delle funzioni di supporto al Ministero dell’ambiente e della tutela del territorio e del mare.
